Vlad providing a Yoga Therapy session, doing a breath assessment on a client.

What is Yoga Therapy?

“Yoga Therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.”International Association of Yoga Therapists

Yoga Therapy is a one-to-one process in which an individualised practice is developed to support the client’s specific wellbeing goals and needs. Using tools such as postures, breathing techniques, affirmations, and guided meditation, the client engages in regular practice over 2–3 months with the guidance and support of the Yoga Therapist.

This is a collaborative approach designed to empower the client to practise independently, without creating dependency on the therapist.
